The Dare County Board of Commissioners welcomes citizen participation on advisory boards and committees. This type of grassroots public involvement is the foundation of democracy and a vital part of maintaining Dare County as a quality place to live.

An ongoing list is available on this website showing the upcoming appointments to Dare County's boards and committees as well as any vacancies that may exist.

Applications for boards and committees are accepted on an ongoing basis and held for three years, at which time an updated application should be resubmitted. When vacancies arise, applicants are considered and appointments made at monthly Dare County Board of Commissioners meetings.
