Building Permits

Building permits must be obtained from the appropriate inspection office for the geographical location of the construction project. 

Burn Permits

A burn permit from the Fire Marshal's Office is required before starting any fire in unincorporated areas of Dare County.

CAMA

CAMA is a program of permit review and coordination within areas of environmental concern. As a rule of thumb, any development along the oceanfront or estuarine shoreline is impacted by CAMA regulations.
