Dare County Planning Board Meeting
On Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 6 p.m., the Dare County Planning Board will conduct a meeting to review an application for a proposed text amendment to the Dare County Zoning Ordinance in the Dare County Board of Commissioners Meeting Room.

Quasi-Judicial Hearing on Monday, July 15, 2024
The Dare County Board of Commissioners will conduct a Quasi-Judicial Hearing on Monday, July 15, 2024 on Special Use Permit application 02-2024 submitted by Rachel Sanchez for a proposed Home Occupation on Parcel 018767029 in Colington.

Dare County Planning Department

The Planning Department operates in three offices located throughout Dare County. They are responsible for land-use planning and enforcement of state building codes in the unincorporated portions of Dare County.

All offices are open Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Manteo - Serves all of unincorporated portions of Roanoke Island including Wanchese and the mainland areas of Dare County encompassing East Lake, Manns Harbor, Mashoes, and Stumpy Point

Frisco - Serves all of Hatteras Island

Northern Beach - Serves Baum Bay, Colington, and Martin's Point
