The Subdivision Ordinance is administered by the Planning Department to ensure orderly development of unincorporated Dare County by providing regulations for the construction of streets, utilities and building sites.

The Dare County Planning Director serves as the Subdivision Administrator and assists in the review and recordation of all subdivisions of land in unincorporated Dare County.
