Unable to get to the Dare County Library? Don’t worry, we can bring the Library to you!
Dare County Library cardholders can have library materials, including print books, magazines, DVDs, and books on CD, delivered to your home on a monthly basis.
Home Service is for patrons who are no longer able to visit Dare County Public Library. Eligibility for Home Service includes, but is not limited to, patrons with physical disabilities, debilities of advanced age, reading or sight impairments, or extenuating circumstances that prevent patrons from using the library in a traditional manner.
- Call the Manteo Library to speak with one of our trained Staff to discuss your preferred authors, genres, and more. Filling out our NEXT GREAT READ form helps us get to know you and your tastes.
- Schedule a delivery date for us to come by.
- We’ll carefully pull together your requested materials and others we think you might enjoy.
Once at your home, we can:
- Leave materials and pick up materials that are due;
- With your permission, we can bring materials inside for you, if you cannot get to the door; and
- We can sit with you for a bit and talk about your future materials and preferences.
