As an American Heart Association (AHA) training site, we are proud to offer a variety of certification courses. These courses teach you how to respond when someone around you is faced with a life threatening emergency. We offer more formal courses for health care providers as well as informal courses for individuals who want to learn skills for use in non-professional settings. 

 

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers

This course is designed to teach the skills of CPR for individuals of all ages, use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction. It is intended for participants who provide healthcare to patients in a wide variety of settings. Participants will receive an American Heart Association certification card.

 

HeartSaver Courses

Heartsaver courses are designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. Students receive a course completion card that is valid for 2 years. We offer the following course options:

● Heartsaver CPR/AED
● Heartsaver CPR/AED/First Aid
● Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED

 

CPR for Family & Friends

This class teaches rescue skills in CPR and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction. During this course, you will receive valuable information about the AHA Chain of Survival, signs of a heart attack, stroke and choking. You will also learn about ways to avoid sudden infant death syndrome and some of the most common fatal injuries in infants and children. This is an informal class with no testing requirements to complete the course. 

 

Blended Learning Courses

Heartsaver Blended Learning courses include an online portion and a hands-on session. The online portion provides the flexibility of completing training at your own pace, either at work, home, or wherever you have Internet access. The hands-on portion includes a skills practice and testing session conducted in-person with an AHA BLS or Heartsaver Instructor. We offer the following blended learning courses:
